You call me out upon the waters The great unknown where feet may fail And there I find You in the mystery In oceans deep My faith will stand And I will call upon Your name And keep my eyes above the waves When oceans rise, my soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine Your grace abounds in deepest waters Your sovereign hand Will be my guide Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me You’ve never failed and You won’t start now
So I will call upon Your name And keep my eyes above the waves When oceans rise, my soul will rest in Your embrace For I am Yours and You are mineSpirit lead me where my trust is without borders Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander And my faith will be made stronger In the presence of my Savior
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders Let me walk upon the waters Wherever You would call me Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander And my faith will be made stronger In the presence of my Savior

The celebrated gospel artist is no stranger to Trinity Broadcasting Network’s broadcast character of editing his Dove Awards acceptance speech.
Multiple Award-winning gospel musician Kirk Franklin expresses frustration at the Gospel Music Association (GMA) and Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) by announcing his decision to boycott the Christian music Dove Awards after his acceptance speech on police violence against Black Americans were cut from the award show’s broadcast for the second time.
In an Instagram video published on Monday, he explained that after winning a Dove Award – which is considered the Grammys of the Christian music industry, and often broadcasted on TBN, known as the world’s largest Christian television network in 2016, his opinions concerning the shooting of both police officers and black men, in general, were cut out from the acceptance speech broadcasted.
“When we don’t say something, we’re saying something,”
Franklin said during the speech, after which he received a standing ovation and
led the assembly in prayer.
Franklin said he won’t be participating in any events
affiliated with the Dove Awards, GMA or TBN “until tangible plans are put into
place to protect and champion diversity.”
Although Kirk Franklin claims his boycott was a “personal
decision” it hasn’t stopped other black gospel artists from standing with him
in solidarity and support for the move.
Black musicians like Lecrae, also a Grammy and Dove Award-winning
rapper, has registered his support as he criticized white Christians for their
lack of support for black lives. In his post on Franklin’s Instagram, he said
“I only came cause you came. You know I’m out.”
Next to join the movement is Jonathan McReynolds, another award-winning gospel artist also wrote, “You know the rules of church: we don’t let nobody shout by themselves. #Present.”
Other names are Marvin Sapp, Travis Malloy, PJ Morton, and Jonathan Nelson. All agreeing to join the movement in support of Kirk Franklin.
At this year 2019 Dove Awards which Franklin won, he addressed the killing of Atatiana Jefferson, a Black woman who was shot in her own home by a Texas police officer earlier this month. With her 8-year-old nephew present. That part of his acceptance speech was again edited out when the award show aired on Oct. 20 on TBN and this was the final straw that broke the back of his silence.
“Not only did they edit my speech, they edited the African American experience,” he said.
Franklin stressed that his ultimate goal is reconciliation, but also accountability.
The president of GMA Jackie Patillo has issued a statement
in response, stating that “we had to significantly edit the Dove telecast to 2 hours”
and that “many were disappointed because there were so many memorable moments
and noteworthy portions of acceptance speeches absent.”
Patillo also apologized, saying the GMA “would like to
publicly acknowledge that we are deeply apologetic for the missteps that
happened relating to the editing of Kirk Franklin’s Dove Awards acceptance
speech.”
She added: “We accept the responsibility of our error.
Although completely unintentional, we understand it caused great harm and
deeply wounded many in the African American and Gospel community.”
Patillo said TBN has made an unedited version of the ceremony available through Video On Demand and that GMA plans to announce new “initiatives” developed after meeting with Franklin and his team.

Since turning over a new leaf and embracing Christianity, the newly turned gospel singer Kanye West can’t stop spilling his guts and testifying about his newfound faith.
On his recent discussion with Beats 1 host Zane Lowe, Kanye
West made a shocking revelation as he confessed to pornography, having been
introduced at a very young age of five. He claimed to have been addicted and is
now free only by the grace of God.
In his words; “Like for me, Playboy was my gateway into full-on pornography addiction, my dad had a Playboy left out at age five and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life. From age five ’till now, having to kick the habit, and it just presents itself in the open like it’s ok, and I stand up and say, ‘No it’s not ok.’”
He also said, “It’s like with God, I’ve been able to beat things that had full control of me. You know that Playboy that I found when I was 5-years-old was written all over the moment when I was at the MTV Awards with the Timberlands, the Balmain jeans — before people were rocking Balmain jeans — and the Hennessy bottle. It’s like that was such a script out of a rock star’s life.”
He disclosed that his mother’s death in 2007 sent him over the edge and led him straight to porn addiction.
He has started using his platform to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the newly released album Jesus is King is already a tool he is using to evangelize and preach to people not to participate in premarital sex.
He isn’t stopping there, he also believes that families that pray together stay together and so he wants people to always pray and fast because, in his words, “When people pray together and fast together, the power is increased.”
Some might say Kanye West is a bit radical with his faith,
but the artist is unperturbed and is always warming up about taking his faith
to the next level.

After few false alarms, the much-anticipated album is set to arrive this Friday, based on Probability.
Kanye West tweeted this new date on Monday, as a follow up of his announcement on Jan 1st when he tweeted last concerning the album, he has just revealed that it will finally be out on October 25th to the delight of his fans and gospel music lovers globally.
The date is
also the same day that an accompanying documentary film based on the album is
showing at IMAX theaters.
You would note that Jesus Is King was initially announced for September 27th by Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, which was later postponed to September 29th and has kept fans at a limbo since then.
The rap legend and multiple award-winning global musician and producer said he plans to release gospel music exclusively from now on as he has made gospel music and religion a focal point through Jesus Is King and his Sunday Service series.
During his
Jesus Is King series last month in Chicago at the Kanye West Experience event, he
announced he would no longer be making secular music. According to his pastor,
Adam Tyson, he even considered quitting rapping. “One time, he told me that
he wasn’t going to rap,” Tyson said in a recent interview. “I said,
‘Why not?’ He said, ‘That’s the devil’s music.’ I said, ‘Hey, man. Rap is a
genre. You can rap for God.’ I think he was already thinking about it a little
bit, but I definitely said, ‘Hey, bro. I think you need to use your talents
that God’s given you and use that platform for God.”
The weekend the
album was expected to drop originally, Kanye held Sunday Service events and
hosted listening parties for the album. He’s since held Sunday Service events
every week in locations around the world.
Hopefully, it seems the wait is over now.

Frank Edwards aka Frank Richboy, Rock town boss and multiple award-winning gospel artist extraordinaire, was driving through town on a Saturday morning, and saw a Christ Embassy church in Maryland where he was currently visiting, so out of curiosity he decided to stop by without informing them ahead of his coming.
What he witnessed next staggered him.
He was stunned at the warm reception he got from parents, teens and even little kids who were inside on a Saturday Morning.
He wasn’t expecting to see anyone or any activity, yet he was bombarded with hugs and so much love from the lovely Maryland members who all stormed out to take selfies with their favorite gospel star.
He was rendered speechless at the love, realizing he had fans as little as 3 and 4 who all wanted a group hug while one mum ran in to call the entire squad and inform them about their surprise visitor.
It was a beautiful sight to behold and could be likened to the rapture when Our Lord and Savior will come and those ready will go with him and celebrate his coming.
Frank Edwards is currently on a music media tour in Maryland.

“I will never
think I’m too big for God” Cardi B talks about her relationship with God
It seems Cardi B has found religion.
This seems to be the trend among the secular artists these days, and very talented rapper is no exception, as she has taken to Twitter to preach about her relationship with God.
At 27, with so many awards and accolades to her credit,
Cardi B has expressed in no subtle way that she doesn’t allow her achievements and
successes get to her head as she is not bigger than God, no matter how big she
is in earthly standards.
Constantly judged for her appearance and lewd lyrics in her
music, a style her fans has come to love, she doesn’t stop proclaiming her
success to the Grace of God.
In her Tweets, the vocal rapper had these and many more to
say about humility and her reverence for the Almighty: “I will never think
I’m to big for God .God knows my feelings, God knows my sensitivity, God knows
my emotions, God knows my intentions .If I’m ever wrong I ask God forgiveness
because what I might thing is right is wrong but I as forgiveness to the LORD
Not to YOU!
She went further to say: “I Hate when people say i bring
up God to justify what I do. No. I bring up God because he the one that knows
how I really feel .He the one that hears my prayers the one who knows what
makes me happy , mad , hurt ,sad. He know My intentions and I don’t take his
name for vain.”
She ended by Tweeting this:”People out here talking bout other people karma and how they heart works while constantly pushing hatred propaganda, how that works, mhhhmm how your heart work ?but the more people trey to destroy me the MORE I RISE! Facts!”
She might be razz, but her fans are glad to note that she is
finally defining her relationship with God.
Who are you to judge?
